Hazardous works to remove redundant materials with care and processed to be recycled to reduce landfill.
Extensive works to strip out smelter buildings and remove hazardous process materials. Full demolition of Potrooms and Admin Buildings including Hazardous Waste Removal of Asbestos, PCB Oils and SF6 Gases.
All remnant process materials were safely removed prior to full demolition of potshells and buildings. The high risk environment required careful management and tracking of hazardous waste, including the removal of a 2km asbestos water ring main.
An on site treatment facility & specialist methods developed by Ausdecom were used for the management of hazardous waste and the risk categorisation of contaminated materials.
