Various campaigns at the Incitec Pivot manufacturing plant in Portland included the decommissioning of numerous structures (buildings, sheds, superstructures, tanks, elevated conveyors, platforms, walkways, concrete bunkers etc.).
Throughout all campaigns, Ausdecom have endeavoured to meet IPL’s critical KPIs such as applying site safety standards, complying with IPL’s permitting systems, meeting project dates and key milestones and delivering the project on budget.
Additional environmental strategies applied to ensure minimisation of any loss of primary product containment, stormwater & groundwater management and mitigating emissions (dust, noise) from site.
Methodical planning was required to successfully deliver the project with great focus on high-risk tasks:
- Working at heights
- Critical Crane Lifts
- Working in a Hazardous area
- Removal of hazardous material, such as asbestos
- Working around mobile plant/ equipment
